4 Month well child appointment went well today. She weighs 16 lbs. 12 oz and is 25.2 inches long. She's still a big girl for her age. She also had more vaccines today, two shots and one oral.

• I'm still working 6 hr. shifts, twice a week

I'm headed back to work tomorrow :(. I'm going to miss my girl so much. Thankfully I'm starting with just 6 hr. shifts until my body is fully healed. I'm still in "recovery" mode. I'll probably be worse off than most of my patients!

2 Month Check-up

Today we had to get our shots. Three shots and one vaccine orally. Ali did very well, she let out one big cry and a tear and that was it. No fever or reactions. She weighed 13.7 lbs, putting her off the growth chart (her first 100%). She is also getting longer, 23. 75 inches which puts her at 98%. She's very active and social. Still working on rolling over. Poor girl has a lot of weight to move around :).

I am 9 weeks!

5 weeks!

Ali now weighs 11 lbs. 4 oz., she's in the 99th percentile for her weight. She's a big girl! She's doing great...lots of dirty diapers, obviously eating well, laughing, smiling, grabbing, kicking, and sleeping decently well. Last night she slept for 5 hours! So far I can tell this little lady knows what she wants and she will let you know when she's wants it :). She's the best!

Hope for the best, plan for the worst...

The title has been what I've been living by for the past few weeks. Not only is this relating to being new parents but it also applies to my recovery. I ran into another problem yesterday...

It looks like my perineum (where I got stitched up), developed a hematoma which eventually burst leaving a small opening in my perineum that got infected. My Dr. said that he's never had a patient develop a perineal infection, just my luck. I've been put on more antibiotics and will hopefully be healed within 10 days. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers. It is starting to get increasingly difficult to deal with more bad news that ultimately prevents me from being the active, lively mom that I had hoped to be. As of now, I move at a snails pace and walk around like I have a stick up my butt. The pain is bearable, but I am constantly reminded of what's going on down there making me even more stressed out. I just really, really, really want to be "normal" again and will do whatever it takes to get there.

In Ali news, she is doing great! She's sleeping right now with Joel. She's in somewhat of a fussy stage right now, may be a growing spurt but it's nothing that we can't handle. She's a great eater, pooper, and a so-so sleeper :). I could just stare at her for hours.

Today Anthony and Nicole are getting married! Wish we could be there, congrats guys!

Ali's Adventure

Yesterday was "Sunday Funday" for Ali. We are actually trying to get her ready for her upcoming travels to Portland for Aunt Megans graduation in a few weeks. Here's a few pics from her adventure!

Notice how she's sleeping in almost all of the pictures. We realized this was more practice for us and not her. She does really well traveling around. We are the basket cases most of the time :).
